Abstract

Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) is a collection of symptoms appear cause consequence deficiency immune system of body because Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). The infection of HIV in the body attacked Cluster of  Differentiation 4 (CD4) cell so happened deficiency immune system of body.  The experiment was conducted at VCT Seruni Room hospital of Dr.Iskak Tulungagung in January until April 2014. This study is correlational analytic research with cross sectional approach. The sample in this study were 43 respondents, were extracted using simple random sampling technique. Variables measured were degree of limfosit T CD 4 as independent variables, and the dependent variable is kind of opportunistic infection. The technique to get data degree of limfosit T CD 4 and kind of opportunistic infection is secondary data. Analysis techniques used in this study using Spearman Rank Correlation Test with  a value is 0,05. The results of this study nearly of half  respondents have 4 kind of opportunistic infection is 21 respondents (43,8 %) with degree of limfosit T CD 4 hard lowering is 7 respondents (14,6 %). Test results of the spearman analysis results obtained P-value = 0.000 with α = 0,05, H0 is refused and H1 accepted,  it means that there is correlations between the degree of limfosit T CD 4 with kind of opportunistic infection on HIV/AIDS patient in VCT Seruni Room hospital of Dr.Iskak Tulungagung on 2014 with the strength of correlation (r) = 0,614. Based on these result, it is necessary to increase status of immunity body with increase degree of limfosit T CD 4, so patient can prevent somemore kind of infection and defend health on optimum a scale.
