HUBUNGAN ANTARA TINGKAT STRES DENGAN KADAR GLUKOSA DARAH PADA PENDERITA DIABETES MELLITUS

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disease marked by elevated levels of blood glucose is called hyperglycemia. Control is lacking in feelings of stress will lead to increased levels of glucose. This research was conducted at the Space Medicine Hospital Gambiran Kediri 2015. This study used a correlational design analytic study with cross-sectional sampling technique used was simple random sampling. The independent variable in this study stress levels and the dependent variable in this study is the blood glucose levels. Stress level measurement method using the DASS-42 questionnaire and blood glucose levels using a glucometer test tool. Data analysis was done by Spearman rank test with a 0.05 significance level used. Most respondents who experienced severe stress levels of 20 respondents (58.8%) and of the blood glucose levels are experiencing hyperglycemia there were 22 respondents (64.7%), normoglycaemia there are 10 respondents (29.4%) and that there hypoglycemia 2 respondents (5.9%). The results of data analysis using Spearman's rank correlation test (Rho) obtained the value ρ value = 0,001 <α = 0.05, H0 is rejected and H1 accepted, meaning that there is a relationship between stress levels with blood glucose levels in diabetic patients in the illness in hospitals Kediri city Gambiran 2015 with Coeffient colleration of (r) = 0.560. Suggested for respondents who have diabetes mellitus for the control or control feelings of stress to always think positive and to control blood glucose levels.
