GAMBARAN UPAYA PENCEGAHAN CARIES GIGI PADA ANAK PRASEKOLAH

Abstract

Caries is a major problem in the oral cavity. Required treatment in the province of East Java index indicates that most districts are in the city suffer from caries 38,6% Kediri city. High rate of dental caries is caused by the lack of impact of health education.This study aims to identify the picture of dental caries prevention in preschool mojoroto city builder Kediri country in 2013, based on the data collected, including survey type, with a cross sectional study design and the use deskriptif. Populasi approach in this study were all mothers and preschool children in Pembina Kediri city builder Mojoroto country in 2013 amounted to 134 children. Number of samples 58 respondent Result of research efforts to prevent dental caries in preschool children in kindergarten Pembina country Mojoroto ie brushing preschoolers majority of 58 respondents are brushing the wrong way, there are 40 respondents 68,9%, most of the food consumed by effort to prevent dental caries preschool children from 58 respondents is food that cause caries 30 respondents 51,7%, mostly never see dentist that is 30 respondents 51,7%. dental caries can be caused by the foods they eat, how poor dental care, lack of f requency to the dentist check the teeth and lack of hygiene toothbrush from the results of this study concluded that in order to prevent dental caries should keep the food consumed and dental work correctly, brushing your teeth before going to bed, after breakfast, as well as diligent to check their teeth every 6 months. Suggested in presschool childrent in kindergarten Mojoroto city builder Kediri country to improve preventive measures and dental caries in school institutions to enhance cooperation with health workers in improving prevevtife and promotive activities in order to prevevt and control dental caries
