DESAIN ALAT UKUR KADAR GULA DARAH SECARA NON- INVASIVE MENGGUNAKAN BIOSENSOR BERBASIS MEMBRAN NATA DE PINA
Abstract
Diabetes Mellitus is a serious disease that affects many people worldwide. It is very important for people with diabetes to continuously monitor blood sugar levels to stay in the normal range. Invasive examination of blood sugar levels can cause discomfort and add to the pile of medical waste, so it is necessary to develop a non- invasive blood sugar monitoring device (without injuring the body) with low cost and high sensitivity.
The non-invasive blood sugar level detection system developed in this study utilizes Near Infra-Red (NIR) light absorption using a nata de pina membrane based biosensor. Calibration of the instrument by comparing the measurement results of this tool with standard measuring instruments on ten random samples produces a coefficient of determination of 0.99, which shows a very strong linear relationship. Instrument testing on 15 samples with diabetes mellitus and 15 samples with normal blood sugar. The results showed that the accuracy of the non- invasive blood sugar measuring instrument was 98.26% in samples with diabetes mellitus and 97.16% in samples with normal blood sugar.
This instrument can be used as an alternative instrument to measure blood sugar levels independently, especially for people with diabetes mellitus because it has an accuracy value above the threshold of medical devices that can be used by humans, namely 95%.
