STATUS GIZI DENGAN KEJADIAN BRONKOPNEUMONIA PADA BALITA
Bronchopneumonia is a disease that is common and the highest cause of death in children under five. Incidence of bronchopneumonia is influenced by many factors, especially nutritional status. The research aims to determine the relationship between nutritional status with the incidence of bronchopneumonia. The research is inferential, where research is a field study with cross-sectional design. In the research, the data collected using a survey. Presence or absence of expost facto research with purpose korelational analytical. The research was conducted on 54 samples of patients with a respiratory disorder in the general hospital Gambiran Kediri from September 2013 to December 2013. Samples were taken with simple random sampling technique. Based on the research results obtained 3 children under five have poor nutritional status (5,6%), 19 children under five have less nutritional status (35,1%), 30 children under five had a good nutritional status (55,6%), and 2 children under five had nutritional status more (3,7%). Incidence of bronchopneumonia calculated for four months and the results are bronchopneumonia frequency (27 samples; 50%) and not bronchopneumonia (27 samples; 50%). Based on the analysis can be concluded that the nutritional status related to the incidence of bronchopneumonia (p < 0.05). Other variables were measured, namely age, gender and basic immunization status, when analyzed with the Mann Whitney test results obtained Sig = 0.003, α = 0.05, then the Sig < α values (0.003 < 0.025), the results of this research can be used as evaluation by the parents of the respondents to improve the nutritional status of their children under five as not susceptible to infectious diseases, especially bronchopneumonia.
